Web shop with a custom configurator for Online Natuursteen, where customers put together and order made-to-measure natural stone.
Online Natuursteen supplies made-to-measure natural stone throughout the Netherlands, with more than half a century of craftsmanship and a modern machine park. Custom work is their speciality: window sills, thresholds, tops and blocks in exactly the size the customer needs.
We built the web shop with a configurator for custom work, and we keep developing it together with them, step by step.
The challenge
Made-to-measure natural stone does not sell like a standard product. Every order has its own dimensions and finishes, and the price follows from those. A regular web shop with fixed articles does not get you far.
Behind the scenes, getting an order ready for the workshop took a lot of manual work, and that is where things easily go wrong.
Our approach
In the configurator, customers put the product together themselves, including dimensions and finishes. A top view shows what you are ordering.
If a configuration is too complex to check out directly, the customer can request a quote. Payment runs through a Mollie integration, and after an order is placed the details go through to the workshop automatically.
The result
From configuration to workshop, everything now runs through one system. What the customer enters reaches the workshop unchanged, so nothing is retyped.
New parts keep being added, without the shop standing still.
